The organization is the brainchild of Shri Hitender Sharma, a senior journalist and multidimensional personality from Kumarsain, Shimla. As a seasoned writer, litterateur (साहित्यकार), and contemporary thinker, Shri Sharma recognized that while news was becoming faster, it was losing its depth and cultural soul.
With decades of experience in mainstream journalism and literature, he established Himalayan Digital Media to ensure that the stories of the Shimla Hills and the wider Himachal Pradesh region are told with the dignity, accuracy, and literary grace they deserve.
